Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has spoken on the interest in him from other Premier League clubs including Liverpool.
Asked about interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool, he told Telefoot: ‘It’s true that these clubs are interested. ‘But I’m at Watford for the moment and I want to finish my season well.’
The Frenchman has been in impressive form this season, notching 7 goals and 2 assist for Watford, at 25 he is in the peak of his career and has been tipped to make the French World Cup squad this summer.
Doucoure’s box to box style would certainly suit a Jurgen Klopp team but the player himself as spoken of his admiration for compatriot Arsene Wenger.
‘Arsenal or Tottenham,’ Doucoure was asked during a rapid fire Q&A. He replied: ‘Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger.’
