Belgian international Leander Dendoncker is being looked at as a possible replacement for Emre can who is set to leave this summer on a free transfer.
Dendoncker, 22, is the captain of Anderlecht and plays in a defensive midfield position which is a position that Liverpool are looking to fill this summer.
According to TMW the midfielder who is also being targeted by Westham United would cost in the region of 30 million euros.
Westham were keen to to sign Dendoncker in January but could not come to an agreement with Anderlecht, they were only offering £4.5m with a further £8m based on add-ons.
Anderlecht are very much open to selling the midfielder for the right price, with their president Roger Vanden Stock confirming last year that he would not stand in the players way if the right offer comes in.
“I’ve only opposed myself to a transfer once,” he said.
“That was Aruna Dindane, and that didn’t end well.
“So, if a club really wants Leander and that it’s financially good for us, he’ll leave.”
