Brazilian winger Malcolm is ready to leave French club Bordeaux this summer, with Liverpool one of the many Premier League clubs interested in taking him to England.
“Bordeaux have promised I can leave in June & I will choose the destination. (UOL)
If Malcolm is free to choose his next destination there is no doubt where his manager thinks he should go.
“I can’t deny that he’s being followed by a lot of people,” Gourvennec reportedly said. “With Malcom, I go from day-to-day.
“If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go.
Arsenal & Tottenham were also heavily linked with a January move for the winger, Liverpool less so but this was before they had cooled their interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
The club feel there is better value for money around this summer, with Malcolm available for around the £40 million mark the club could do worse than look in his direction.
With 8 goals in 27 games, Malcolm would supplement the already blistering front line at Anfield.
