Former Tottenham Hotspur & Middlesborough striker Mido claims that if Mo Salah continues in the vein of form he is, Liverpool will find it very difficult to keep a hold of him.
“I am proud of what Mohamed Salah achieved so far during his time with Liverpool because it is not easy to satisfy fans and prove critics wrong after joining the Anfield as the most expensive deal the club made at that time,” Mido said in TV comments.
“If Salah continued performing well until the end of the season it will be hard for Liverpool to make him stay,” Mido added. “Liverpool is a great club but if they received an offer from one the best clubs in the world they won’t hesitate to sell Salah.”
Salah, joined Liverpool in the summer from AS Roma for a bargain price of £39m and has gone on to score 27 goals this season, his national manager Hector Cuper previously stated that Real Madrid will make a move for the reds star player.
“I’ve received confirmed news revealing Real Madrid’s interest in Salah but let’s not rush things.”
Mido pushed these claims further by stating
“No player can turn down Real Madrid or Barcelona, yet, there are a few exceptions like Francesco Totti who wanted to stay with Roma until the end of his career,” the former player said. “I was the first to predict Salah moving to Real Madrid since Gareth Bale has not been performing very well lately. If he continues to play like this until the end of the season Madrid will send him an official offer.
