When Liverpool sold Philippe Coutinho the immediate reaction was, who will replace him ?
One of the many names mentioned was Lyon’s Nabil Fékir, however according to the Lyon playmaker there was nothing in those rumours.
Speaking to Onze Mondial, the Lyon star said: “Yeah, I heard. I heard, but there was never anything concrete.”
Asked about a possible move in the future, he states
“We’ll see what the future holds. I’m at Lyon for now. I’m happy here. In football, you never know what can happen. It depends what the ball wants. You need to be prepared for anything.”
The French magazine put it to him that
“That’s a bit of a bulls****er’s answer, isn’t it?”
He replied: “That’s because I don’t know. I can’t tell you what will happen tomorrow. Maybe I’ll be at Lyon my whole life. I don’t know. I’m under contract with Lyon until 2020. There. Calm.”
With current value at around €60m and only rising, Nabil Fékir had this to say
“Look, I’m going to be frank. I don’t give a s***. Honestly, whether I’m worth €20m or €10m. Pffff.
