Sign Mahrez, that is the advice of former Scotland international Pat Nevin who was speaking to Steve Nicol.
“Mahrez just looks like a Liverpool player to me.” he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“If I was in charge at Liverpool, I’d be banging down Leicester’s door to get him.
“Liverpool have huffed and puffed – and they missed the intricate play of Philippe Coutinho to be honest,” he said.
“But take nothing away from West Brom – they’ve battled really hard – and they deserve this win.
“Liverpool were looking to their bench today thinking: ‘Who are we going to bring on to change the game?’, but there was no-one to bring on.
“There’s no Daniel Sturridge or Phillipe Coutinho like there might have been earlier in the season.
“You’ve got to think Liverpool need to bring in one creative player before the end of the transfer window.” he finished.
Liverpool had no sooner sold Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona when they were linked to Mahrez, with Bein Sports even reporting a deal was all but done.
However the Reds were quick to out this rumour to bed even contacting Leicester City to let them know they had no with to sign Mahrez.
Liverpool have played three games since selling Coutinho, winning one and losing two, they have been lacking some flare in those games and fans have been screaming out for a replacement, if they did manage to sign Mahrez he would no doubt replace the flare and guile that the Reds have recently been missing.
